The key mineral for metabolism—Sodium phosphoricum regulates pH levels and thus plays a role in nearly every bodily process.
Interesting facts about Natrium phosphoricum
- Used as a water softener.
- In rivers: elevated phosphate levels → algae growth → water bodies becoming acidic.
- EU food additive E339.
Effects & Properties
Sodium phosphoricum binds acid molecules and thereby raises the body's pH level. It reduces Uric acid into urea, which can be excreted by the kidneys. This acid-base balance helps purify the body and reduce the strain on the metabolism—freeing up more energy.
Features: pH-regulating, detoxifying, acid-base balancing, revitalizing, balancing.
Storage Locations & Deficiency Symptoms
Interstitial space, blood. Symptoms of deficiency:
- Rheumatism, joint pain, muscle pain
- Skin rashes, oily skin
- Fatigue, indigestion, weight gain
Applications
Sodium Phosphate for Rheumatism
In rheumatic diseases, there is an elevated concentration of arachidonic acid—an inflammatory mediator. The more acidic the body (lower pH), the more sensitively the inflammatory cascade reacts to this mediator. Sodium phosphoricum raises the pH level, thereby reducing inflammatory sensitivity. At the same time, it converts uric acid into urea—particularly relevant in gout, where excess uric acid crystallizes in the joints.
Sodium phosphate for fatigue
Chronic acidosis costs the body a tremendous amount of energy: it must constantly activate buffering systems to stabilize the pH level. This ongoing process diverts resources away from normal cellular metabolism. Sodium phosphoricum takes over the buffering function: the body has to work less hard, and the energy freed up is available for vitality and performance.
Sodium Phosphoricum for Skin Rashes
Many skin rashes occur when the body’s normal excretory organs (kidneys, intestines, liver) are overloaded with waste products and the body eliminates toxins through the skin. Sodium phosphoricum strengthens the body’s natural excretory pathways by regulating acid-base balance—this relieves the strain on the skin and helps the rashes clear up.
Instructions for Use
Suitable for short-term treatment—works well in combination with Natrium sulfuricum (No. 10) for deep detoxification. 3 times a day Tablets or globules.
Pregnancy & Breastfeeding
Safe to use—and even explicitly recommended for heartburn during pregnancy.
